Mark Stewart

Executive Chairman

Mark has over 34 years of international legal and commercial experience, particularly in the junior mining and resources sector in Africa, Asia, North America and Australia, ten years as senior executive for Anglo American plc, negotiating acquisitions and joint ventures throughout Africa, South East Asia and Australia.

Mark has held several Non-Executive Director roles and was Managing Director of two ASX listed exploration companies and more recently was Chairman of an ASX listed exploration company.

Peter Reynolds

Executive Director

Peter has over 45 years experience in the minerals industry both in Australia and overseas. Since 2006 he has consulted to the industry mainly in Mongolia, Russia, Central Asia and Australia in the areas of due diligence and technical and corporate advice. He established and managed AMC Consultants offices in London and Adelaide, Australia.

Prior to that Peter held senior positions with Normandy Mining Ltd, Newmont Australia Ltd and BHPB Olympic Dam Operations. He has been a Director of several ASX and TSXV listed companies and is a Fellow of AusIMM and a Member of CIM and Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Batbayar Purevjargal

Non-Executive Director

Bat has over 20 years experience in local and international banking and finance in London and Mongolia. He worked with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for ten years, including periods as representative in charge of the natural resources sector for Mongolia and responsible for deal origination and execution of numerous landmark transactions in the minerals and hydrocarbon sector across Eastern Europe, CIS and Mongolia.

Batbayar is an independent Director of Ard Financial Group, a Mongolian financial services company.

Walter Richards

Non-Executive Director

Walter Richards has over 25 years of international finance and commercial experience in the mining industry.  He has worked for a variety of mining companies from juniors to majors spanning a broad spread of activities from exploration to development and construction to steady state operations in various locations covering Africa, Australia, Indonesia, South America and the USA.

Walter has held several executive roles including Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary for an ASX listed junior and Regional Vice President Finance, Africa for Newmont Mining Corporation.  He is currently Head of Finance for SIMEC Mining a private company operating iron ore mines in South Australia and a coking coal mine in New South Wales.

Johnathan (Sam) Spring

Kincora nominee post listing

Sam Spring has been the President and CEO of Kincora Copper, as a TSX-V listed entity, since April 2013 having joined the Company in September 2012. During his time at Kincora, Sam has successfully led four corporate transactions including the pivot from a Mongolian to Australian asset portfolio and exploration strategy, built an industry-leading technical team and board, attracted a strong shareholder register and lead the dual listing onto the ASX. Sam is Vice Chair of the Business Council of Mongolia’s (BCM) Resources and Environment Working Group, and a member of the International Advisory Panel (IAP) to the Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry of Mongolia.

Sam was nominated for “Chief Executive of the Year – Exploration” award at Mines & Money London (December 2017). Prior to Kincora, Sam was recognised as one of the leading European Metals and Mining research analysts, having won the Association of Mining Analysts (UK) Equity Mining Analyst of the Year, with multi-disciplinary financial service sector experience, including with the Goldman Sachs Group and Ocean Equities Ltd. Sam is a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Accountant (ICAA) and earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Melbourne.
